Welcome to
Men’s Ministry
at FPC!
MISSION
-
- To lead ministry initiatives in order to train men to glorify God in the gospel as disciples who make disciples.
- To disciple men in their walk with Christ. To build men up to be godly leaders in their homes, community, and church. To train up younger or older men, new to the faith.
Glorify: honor, praise, declare the works of, delight in
God: the Trinitarian Maker, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all
Gospel: the good news that Jesus lived perfectly, died a sacrificial death, and rose to life to rescue sinners; pardon for sin and power for new life; the good news that in Jesus we can be restored to our Creator
Disciples: followers of Jesus in word and deed, in love and maturity
VISION
As we grow in the gospel of Jesus Christ, we want to be known for standing firm in our faith and doing everything in love, all for God’s glory.
“Be watchful (on guard), stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” I Corinthians 16:13–14
To that end we have several ministry initiatives:
-
- Men’s Bible/Book Studies —We meet regularly on Thursdays at 9 a.m. Contact Ralph Jansen for more information.
- Men’s Breakfast — Held quarterly on a Saturday at 8 a.m. This is a time of fellowship and discipleship. Look for an announcement in the bulletin, and if you’d like to help cook or clean up, contact Vince Grilley.
- ON Group — Have you been sustained by God all your years? Then come enjoy a time of fellowship with other men in their 80s and 90s, meeting once a month for lunch at a local restaurant. See Bobby Duck for the time and place and come encourage one another to remain faithful to the Lord Jesus.
- One-on-one Mentoring — Do you desire to be discipled in the faith and accountable to another man? See Pastor Andy or Forrest Marion if you’d like more information. They can meet for breakfast/lunch or another time that works for you.
