Statement of Faith
A church with a mission to bring the bible to life. What We Believe
For a fuller statement of our beliefs please see the Westminster Confession of Faith and its catechisms. We are a confessional church that prioritizes expository preaching, praying, and observing the sacraments.
- We believe the Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments,
to be the only inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God and the only rule of faith and practice. - We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit, who is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power,
holiness, justice, goodness, and truth. - We believe that God created all things for His good pleasure and for the display of
His eternal power, wisdom, and goodness; having created all things, God created man
in His image, male and female, without sin, and with a soul that would last forever.
God charged man (male and female together) with the care of His created world,
to preserve and govern it for His glory. - We believe that God’s design for marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union as delineated in Scripture.
We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. - We believe that Adam and Eve, though created sinless, did not remain in that state in which they were created,
but willfully and consciously disobeyed their Creator’s command. All mankind is therefore fallen and guilty. - We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life,
in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood for His
chosen people, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the
Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. - We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. We
believe that faith without works is dead. - We believe that Christ’s Kingdom is made up of all past and present saints. We
believe in the spiritual unity of all believers. - We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the
Christian is enabled to live a godly life. - We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to
the resurrection of life and they that are lost to the resurrection of damnation.
